Root Canal Therapy
Chipped or decayed teeth are generally corrected utilizing a filling or a different kind of restoration when they are identified and dealt with in a timely manner. However, as the damage extends to the center of the tooth, known as the pulp, root canal therapy may be needed to treat the affected tooth. A root canal is a procedure performed to remove an infected pulp tissue and close off the affected tooth to return proper oral health to the mouth — if this is not completed, it could lead to a lost tooth and eventual spread of infection to surrounding areas.
